Bzw.n — an interdisciplinary collective of artists based in Hamburg, Bremen and Berlin — presents an exhibition A Form for your Phantoms in response to Frappant’s open call. The proposed exhibition endeavors to investigate themes of ghosts, absence, haunting, and dreaming through the intersections of diverse artistic interventions encompassing film, performances, painting, and interactive media.
Drawing inspiration from the given notions of phantoms and the coexistence of possibilities and impossibilities, A Form for your Phantoms delves into the intricate dynamics of desires and traumas, while exploring the liminal spaces that blur the boundaries between different definitions of reality. Central to the collective’s artistic exploration is the endeavor to activate the invisible, ungraspable, and absent aspects of existence, by concretizing these elusive elements and, in turn, accentuating the process of recollecting ‘ghosts’ into our confronting reality.
